Achievements
1. Has been an actively involved in more than 3000 Cancer detection camps held during last 20 years by Nargis Dutt Memorial Cancer Hospital for early detection, cancer awareness, cancer control and diagnosis.
2. Has organised a number of skin diseases diagnostic camps, Piles camps, Cataract operative camps and Blood donation camps on a fairly large scale.
3. Has been instrumental in the progress of and in up gradation on Barshi Maternity and General Co-operative Hospital, Barshi.
4. Has been the founder of a Nargis Dutt Cancer Hospital at Barshi with its full comprehensive cancer care approach. What was a barren piece of land has now become a place of pilgrimage for Cancer patients.
5. Is a Co-Principal-investigator for Rural Cancer Registry, Barsi under the sponsorship of ICMR. This was the first Rural Cancer Registry in India to be established in 1987.
6. Investigator of the collaborative project of WHO (International Agency for Research on Cancer, Lyon) for the Role of Health Education and its impact on morbidity and mortality due to cervical cancer.
